One of our most memorable road trips to date has been a whirlwind adventure from Prince George BC to Watson Lake Yukon on the May long weekend in 2009, a total of 2722 km in 3 days. Breathtaking scenery around every curve, a northern safari of wildlife, secluded Hot Springs and the Historical Sign Post Forest, one of the most famous landmarks along the Alaska Highway The Sign Post Forest is a collection of almost 100, 000 signs today from its humble beginnings, when a homesick GI in 1942, erected a sign pointing to his hometown and added the distance to it. Since then others have added their own hometown signs and the idea has been growing ever since.
